Family farm Bošnjaković is located in Mrzović, a small Slavonian village in the Osijek-Baranja county, near the municipality of Semeljci.
The fertile soil of Slavonia is ideal for the cultivation of agricultural crops such as chamomile, cereals and plums. Our family farm also cultivate these crops and we primarily grow chamomile. In addition to that we also grow Bistrica plums, which are characteristic of this part of Croatia. Besides chamomile and plums, we also grow crops that are used to feed livestock. Crops such as barley and corn, which are extremely high quality and rich in nutrients.
A small agricultural holding in Slavonia, such as our family farm, has a great advantage in its natural environment. Rich soil and climatic conditions, which enables the production of quality products of high value. It is precisely for this reason that everything produced in this area is considered to be of extremely high quality and nutritious. Products obtained from crops grown in this way are also extremely rich in quality nutrients and have a great taste.

Family farm Bošnjaković is situated in the richest agricultural region in Croatia. Once upon a time, the Pannonian Sea was located there. Now only patches of blue in the form of a lake are left of the sea. Slavonia is surrounded by three large rivers that ensure fertility. Given the history of this region, it is not surprising that the Slavonian soil is extremely rich and of high quality. Even the Romans had a name for the wide plains that adorn this area. They called it “Vallis Aurea”, which means “Golden Valley”.
The fertile soil of the plain is ideal for growing cereals, vegetables, industrial crops and fruits. Everything grown on this rich soil is of exceptional quality and rich in nutrients. That’s why it is deservedly called the “Granary”.
The people of Slavonia are famous as hosts. They are always ready to socialize with people and a glass of one of the many quality wines. They are tough, strong and persistent like the land they cultivate. Their culture and traditions are as deep and their hearts are as wide as the fields they cultivate and their souls are as warm as the sun that shines on them.
